My name is Gayle. I’m your average animal lover trying to do the best for her pets. But this isn’t about me — this is about Petey, a 5-year old Bengal cat recently diagnosed with feline lymphoma.
I’m no expert on this disease, but I am an expert on Petey. I hope to do his story justice.
Thanks for reading!
Gayle, it’s just heartbreaking to read what you and Petey have been through so far.
But what really shines through here is how much you love him, and your total commitment to doing what’s best for him, and how strong you are in honoring that love and commitment.
I really am moved by Petey’s story and your writing. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you, Meaddows. The dopey boy really does mean the world to me.
What a handsome boy!
I am really touched by your love for him. He sure is lucky to have you. And vice versa.
I wish Petey a fast, full recovery. Thank you for sharing your story.
Take care,
Erica
Your story is So similar to ours! Our Sable stopped eating, lost a lot of weight, turned out to have lymphoma as well. I had to laugh/cry when you described the increasing difficulty giving medicine! He’s doing better, eating now. Gaining weight (up to 10.3 pounds as of last Friday). And yes, who would have thought what a wonderful sound a cat eating crunchies could be!
Thanks for sharing your story, Sable’s Dad.
Congrats on your boy’s progress. We’re hoping for a weight gain this week, too.
